Tap a spot on the map to add it to the list. The times on the map are each zone’s time at that moment.
To find an hour that works for everyone, with each place’s working hours, use the time difference calculator and meeting planner.
How to use it
-
Set the time
Choose the hour, the minutes and the date in the first place on the list. “Now” takes you back to the current time.
-
Add places
Search for them by name, pick a time zone from the list or tap a spot on the time zone map. You can add up to 8.
-
Read and share
Each card shows that place’s time and day. “Swap” moves the time to the second place, and the link keeps the places, the date and the time.
How to convert a time from one zone to another
Every time zone is a number of hours ahead of or behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To convert a time, take away the first place’s offset and add the second one’s: 2:30 PM in New York in winter (UTC−5) is 7:30 PM UTC, which is 7:30 PM in London (UTC+0) and 4:30 AM the next day in Tokyo (UTC+9).
Each place’s offset depends on the date, because many countries move their clocks in summer, and not all on the same day. That’s why the converter asks for the date: the same New York time can land on a different hour in London depending on the week. Here’s the table time in 2026:
| Place | On January 15 | On July 15 |
|---|---|---|
| Chicago | 8:00 AM | 8:00 AM |
| Denver | 7:00 AM | 7:00 AM |
| Phoenix | 7:00 AM | 6:00 AM |
| Los Angeles | 6:00 AM | 6:00 AM |
| Honolulu | 4:00 AM | 3:00 AM |
| London | 2:00 PM | 2:00 PM |
| Paris | 3:00 PM | 3:00 PM |
| Dubai | 6:00 PM | 5:00 PM |
| New Delhi | 7:30 PM | 6:30 PM |
| Manila | 10:00 PM | 9:00 PM |
| Beijing | 10:00 PM | 9:00 PM |
| Tokyo | 11:00 PM | 10:00 PM |
| Sydney | 1:00 AM (next day) | 11:00 PM |
| Auckland | 3:00 AM (next day) | 1:00 AM (next day) |
Phoenix and Honolulu never change their clocks, and in the Southern Hemisphere summer time runs from October or November to March or April, so Sydney and Auckland move the other way.

Times that don’t exist and times that happen twice
On the day clocks spring forward, an hour is skipped. In 2026, New York jumps from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM on March 8: if you pick a time in that gap, the converter warns you and shows the time just after the jump, which is what clocks will read.
On the day clocks fall back, an hour happens twice: on November 1, at 2:00 AM, clocks go back to 1:00 AM. If you pick a time in that hour, the converter warns you and uses the first one, on daylight time. For a meeting at that hour, give the time in UTC or in the other person’s zone.
12-hour or 24-hour clock
The US mostly uses the 12-hour clock with AM and PM; most of Europe and Latin America use the 24-hour clock. Switch with the “12 h / 24 h” button: your choice is saved in your browser.
Watch out for 12 o’clock: 12:00 AM is midnight (00:00) and 12:00 PM is noon. An invite for “Friday 12 AM” is the night between Thursday and Friday.
How it works
The converter finds the exact instant when the first place reads the date and time you pick, then the time every other place reads at that instant. Offsets and clock-change dates come from the IANA time zone database built into your browser.
The time zone of a place you search for or tap on the map comes from the timezone-boundary-builder boundaries, based on OpenStreetMap. The name of a spot you tap is looked up with Photon from its coordinates. If you need an hour that suits a meeting across several zones, the meeting planner is in the time difference calculator.
Frequently asked questions
What time is it in London when it’s 9:00 AM in New York?
2:00 PM for most of the year. For a few weeks in March and around the end of October, it’s 1:00 PM, because the US and the UK change their clocks on different days. Enter the date in the converter to get that day’s answer.
Is 12 AM midnight or noon?
Midnight: 12 AM is 00:00, and 12 PM is noon. Switch to the 24-hour clock with the “24 h” button if it’s confusing.
What if the time falls on a clock change?
You’ll get a warning. If that time doesn’t exist (when clocks spring forward), you get the time just after the jump; if it happens twice (when clocks fall back), you get the first one.
Can I convert a time to several places at once?
Yes, up to 8. They’re all worked out for the same moment: the date and time you set in the first place.
How do I share a conversion?
Use the Share button: the link keeps the places, in order, the date and the time. Anyone who opens it sees the same conversion, wherever they are.
