Why we build it
Most map tools work for one country and stop at its borders. All Map Tools does the same everyday tasks with each country’s own official data (in the US, the Census Bureau and USGS; in Spain, the national mapping agency and statistics office) and explains them in your language.
How we work
- Free, no sign-up. Open a tool and use it. No accounts, no emails, no extra steps.
- Your data stays with you. Calculations run in your browser and what you draw or type never reaches a server of ours. Details are in our privacy policy.
- Official, open data, credited. Every tool says where its data comes from and under which license, and our methodology page explains how each figure is calculated and how accurate it is.
- Mistakes in the open. When something’s wrong, we fix it and log it on our corrections page, with the date.
- Made for the classroom too. Blank maps, worksheets with answer keys and quizzes you can print or share with a link, with no one having to sign up.
Who’s behind it
All Map Tools is an independent project. Our terms of use are on their own page, and you can reach us through the contact form.
Pages are signed by the All Map Tools Team. How we choose what to publish, how we check the figures and what we use artificial intelligence for are all in our editorial policy.
How it’s funded
All Map Tools has no ads today. Later on it may show ads to cover its costs, always on content pages and never inside a tool, a map, a quiz or a printable sheet. If that changes, you’ll see it in our privacy policy first.
